Widely used and extremely useful, foam is a versatile substance that can offer firm support when it is needed but can be soft, soothing, and comfortable if that’s required. And no matter what shape or size you need, foam can be cut, angled or glued so it is tailored just right to do the job. Foam is great for making new cushions to refurbish and revitalize older ones that you want to replace. Foam is in every room of the house—from bedroom to basement—and away from home too at the cottage, for camping, on the boat, or in the recreational vehicle. Foam brings comfort and support wherever you need it.
When purchasing foam, there are two basic qualities to consider: density and compression. Density is the weight of the foam, so the heavier the foam the better the quality and therefore the durability of the foam. Compression is the relative softness or hardness of the foam. You can pick the compression that best suits you.
Regardless of its characteristics, our foam is healthy: with water-blown technology to help form the cellular construction in our foam means that it is totally inert, has no latex or allergens, resists mildew, and will not support growth of any kind.
The numbers associated with different foam grades tell its story. Each grade has a four digit number, the first two digits represent the density (weight) and the second two digits represent the compression rating. For example: the grade number “2527” which is our mattress-grade foam has “25” as its first two digits representing the density/weight (2.5 pounds per cubic foot), while the second two digits “27” represents the compression rating. In short the higher the density (first two digits) the higher the quality of the foam and the higher second pair of digits, the firmer the foam.
Every project requires different foam grades and manufacturing processes, so please call or email us for pricing.
